1. The U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has blocked the Fu Yuan Yu 7883 because of the vessel operator's involvement in the 2017 transshipment of thousands of shark carcasses and because of crew reports of physical violence and forced labor on Pingtan Marine Enterprise vessels. Pingtan Marine Enterprise, a Chinese seafood conglomerate, and it's affiliate companies, Pingtan County Ocean Fishing Group Co Ltd and Fuzhou Honglong Ocean Fishing Co Ltd, were sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Office in December 2022. The U.S. Treasury Office identified 125 vessels associated with these companies and designated them as blocked property.

    for 458.18 hours (19.09 days) in the Indian Ocean between May 2018 and June 2018.
5. The Fu Yuan Yu 7883 disabled its

    for 369.55 hours (15.39 days) in the South Atlantic Ocean and Argentine Sea between December 2018 and January 2019.
6. The Fu Yuan Yu 7883 disabled its

   AIS

    for 310.9 hours (12.95 days) in the South Pacific Ocean in June 2019.
7. The Fu Yuan Yu 7883 disabled its

   AIS

    for 264.08 hours (11 days) in the South Pacific Ocean in November 2019.
8. The Fu Yuan Yu 7883 disabled its

    for 228.36 hours (9.51 days) in the Argentine Sea between March 2018 and April 2018.
