  1. The Hua Li 8 engaged in illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing activities within the Argentinian EEZ, near San Jorge Gulf on February 29, 2016. They were apprehended by the Indonesian Navy on April 22, 2016. The vessel was reportedly carrying 102 tons of squid and was crewed by 29 individuals, 4 were Indonesian and 25 were Chinese, at the time of apprehension. Crew members were arrested and interviewed, and the vessel owners were fined over $170,000.
  2. The Hua Li 8 suspected of illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing in Argentinian waters between 2010 and 2022 and is on Argentinian government illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing list after being captured by Argentinian authorities on Feb 29, 2016.
