“We should stop operation”
JT, the CEO of Choice Canning, sent a voice memo to a WhatsApp thread for plant managers in November 2023, where he expressed frustration with how long it was taking shrimp to move from harvest to production. He suggested that the plant “take a production break.”
[00:00:00] JT Uh, Thomas and Jacob, you know, I’m getting a bit jittery. We’re going up to 98 hours of harvest to production. I think we should take a break. We should stop this operation. Uh, there’s something wrong there, you know. We even have to reduce purchase. So what I’m going to do is, I’ll write an email. We’ll cut the cost according to production.
